The Friends of St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival is now in its 14th year. Every year we enjoy the beautiful sight of St Mary’s filled with over 60 decorated trees by all parts of the community. We would love to welcome you to the event. Whether you are representing a club, school, business or just yourself, matters not, we would just love to have you involved.
There are no ‘rules’ about what style of tree, whatever you decide will add to the constantly amazing range of trees we get each year. You can use lights or not, we just ask that if you do use them, that you bring a named extension lead. Since our recent rewire there are lots of sockets, but a lead just makes life easier. There is no charge for tree entry, except that you provide the tree and decorations. An entry form is below.
Set-up evening is on Thursday 8th December from about 4.30 pm until 8 pm. Clear up is either after the Carol Service on Sunday, so about 6.45 pm or Monday evening from
4.30 pm to 8 pm. These are the only times the church will be open. The event is open from 10 am to 8 pm on the Friday and 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. We charge £2 each for 17 yrs and over and £1 for school-age children.
